Llorenz: The Process is the Soul
Llorenz’s work transcends traditional frameworks of contemporary art, emerging instead from an unexplored territory: the depths of a mind diagnosed with the most severe level of the autism spectrum (level 3). It is from this unique perspective—where language, conventional communication, and social norms are profoundly limited—that an artistic manifestation arises, challenging us to reflect on what truly defines us as human beings, artists, and communicators.
The process is the soul, invites us to rethink art as a psychic channel, the original language of the unconscious. This journey is not about “overcoming” or “adapting.” It is about connection—to the raw source of creativity and to a pre-verbal, pre-conceptual expression that emerges in painting with striking force.
In an era where contemporary art often focuses on concept, critique, or irony, Llorenz serves as a vital reminder that art remains a means to access what cannot be articulated: trauma, beauty, pain, tenderness, and the very essence of existence through the lens of neurodivergence.
This exhibition stands as a manifesto. It is a call to broaden our perspective to include different forms of creative intelligence, varied sensitivities, and new possibilities for embracing the unknown while remaining open and receptive.
